1 cup broccoli, finely chopped

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/4 cup breadcrumbs

1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

1 egg

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1 teaspoon onion powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon olive oil (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet with olive oil or line it with parchment paper.

  3. Mix everything together until well combined. The mixture will be slightly sticky.
  4. Shape the mixture into patties about 1/2 inch thick and arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden brown and cooked through.
  6. Serve warm, optionally with a side of veggies or a dipping sauce like ranch or buffalo sauce.

Notes

Add extra vegetables like finely chopped carrots or spinach for more nutrition.

Swap the cheddar for mozzarella or gouda for a different flavor.

For a gluten-free version, substitute breadcrumbs with gluten-free breadcrumbs or almond flour.

Spice things up by adding cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes.
