Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
1 medium onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup beef broth
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon soy sauce
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon dried thyme
1 teaspoon paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
8 oz egg noodles
1 tablespoon olive oil
Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
-
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
-
Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for 3-4 minutes until softened.
-
Sprinkle the flour over the beef mixture and stir to coat. Cook for 1-2 minutes to remove the raw flour taste.
-
Gradually add the beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, thyme, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir well to combine.
-
Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10 minutes, or until the sauce thickens and the beef is tender.
-
Meanwhile, cook the egg noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
-
Once the beef mixture is ready, add the cooked noodles to the skillet and toss to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
-
Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot.
Notes
Add Vegetables: For extra flavor and texture, try adding mushrooms, peas, or carrots to the beef mixture.
