Ingredients

2 ripe bananas, mashed

1/2 cup peanut butter

1/4 cup honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup rolled oats

1/2 cup whole wheat flour

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Pinch of salt

1/4 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease or line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

  2. In a large mixing bowl, mash the bananas until smooth.

  3. Add the peanut butter, honey (or maple syrup), and vanilla extract to the mashed bananas, and mix until well combined.

  4. In a separate bowl, combine the rolled oats, whole wheat flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt.

  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the banana mixture, stirring until just combined.

  6. If using chocolate chips, fold them in.
